What works
Text such as your name, title, phone number and website works in every app. Phone numbers and addresses are often tappable on the recipient's device.
Mobile email apps keep their signature separate from the desktop, and most accept text only. This guide covers four common apps and the reliable way to send a full signature from phones too.
Design your signature in the Zeyl signature studio and copy it. Since most phone apps accept text only, it helps to have a short text version of your signature ready as well.
If your team uses Microsoft 365, you don't need to set anything up on phones: Zeyl adds the signature on the server, so every Exchange email sent from Outlook mobile or the phone's own mail app gets the full signature. On Google Workspace, Zeyl writes the signature into everyone's Gmail signature setting.
When your signature is ready in Zeyl, click "Use signature".
Choose "Yourself" to add the signature to your own app.
Copy the signature. A copied signature is static and does not update when the design or banner changes.
According to Apple, Mail signatures on iPhone can only use text. The signature is added automatically to the bottom of every message you send.
Open the Settings app, tap Apps, then tap Mail.
Tap Signature, below Composing.
Delete the default text and type your signature. With more than one account, tap Per Account to give each account its own signature.
The mobile signature in the Gmail app is plain text and is used only for emails sent from the app. If you don't create one, Gmail uses the signature from your computer, so leaving the mobile signature empty is the better way to keep your logo on emails sent from your phone.
Tap Menu, scroll to the bottom and tap Settings, choose your account, tap Mobile signature, type your signature and tap OK.
Tap Menu, then Settings. Under Compose and Reply, tap Signature settings, turn on Mobile Signature and type your signature. Tap Back to save.
Open a free account; connect Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for your team.
The Outlook mobile app does not use your desktop signature, and by default it adds its own promotional line. Formatting options are limited.
Tap your profile icon at the top left, then the settings icon.
Under Mail, tap Signature.
Type or paste your signature. For several accounts, turn on Per Account Signature and enter one for each account.
Menu names in Samsung Email can vary by model and software version, so these steps describe the general path.
In the Email app, open the menu and tap the settings (gear) icon.
Tap the email account you want to add a signature to.
Scroll down in the account settings, tap the signature option, turn it on and type or paste your text.
Text such as your name, title, phone number and website works in every app. Phone numbers and addresses are often tappable on the recipient's device.
Visual parts such as a logo, photo, colored layout, social icons, banners and surveys usually can't be added to a mobile signature field, or they disappear when pasted.
On Microsoft 365, Zeyl adds the signature on the server as the email leaves. Whatever phone or app someone uses, every email sent through Exchange gets the full signature with the logo, and nobody has to change settings on their phone.
Mobile signature fields usually don't accept images. If the logo matters, leave the Gmail mobile signature empty so your computer signature is used, or move your team to a server-side signature.
If the pasted signature has extra spaces or odd characters, delete it and type a short text version by hand.
The app's signature may be turned on for only one account. Check the per-account setting and make sure you are sending from the right account.
Phones can change colors in dark mode, making dark text and logos on transparent backgrounds hard to read. Check your signature with the day and night preview in the Zeyl studio.
Most mobile apps only accept text in the signature field. In Gmail, leaving the mobile signature empty means your computer signature is used. If your team wants a logo signature on every phone, a server-side signature for Microsoft 365 is the most reliable way.
Usually not. iPhone Mail, Outlook mobile and Samsung Email keep their own signatures. The Gmail app uses your computer signature only when no mobile signature is set.
Yes. In Settings > Apps > Mail > Signature, tap Per Account and write a signature for each account.
Outlook mobile adds a default promotional line until you enter a signature. Replace it by entering your own under Mail > Signature in Settings.
Nothing. Because Zeyl adds the signature on the server, every email sent through Exchange from Outlook mobile or the phone's built-in mail app gets it. There is no add-in, agent or user setting.
With a copied signature, usually not, because mobile signature fields don't support them. On the Microsoft 365 route the signature is added on the server, so emails sent from phones get the full signature too.
No, a copied signature is static. After a change, copy the signature again and add it to the app on your phone.
Because phones usually accept text only, your name, title, company and one phone number are often enough. Instead of adding long legal text by hand on each phone, adding the disclaimer on the server for everyone on Microsoft 365 is more reliable.
Design it in minutes, publish it to your team.
